KnowboForm Site Submitter v1.6.5 beta Released!

KnowboForm v1.6.5 beta has been released on 21 February '08. This version focuses on export and import of user's profile, site and submission data and passwords. This version has introduced the concept of project which is a group of submission profiles for a specific submission scope. Project is a time saver option for the submitter if many web sites are required to be submitted one after another to the same directory or site. Also using this version you will be able to quickly and easily add a new site to the KnowboForm database.

This version has the ability to capture the technical info about a particular form, which can't be fully populated by the default auto-fill logic. This will enable to auto-fill such unique form after saving these technical info.

Look and feel of the application has been enhanced. Password manager is made accessible from the tool bar. Some bugs of the earlier versions have been fixed up. Release notes of the earlier versions has been incorporated to the Readme.txt file so that interested users can at a glance see the changes from version to version.

Automatically Fill-in Category of your Submission

Properly filling-in category of submission has always been a challenge for any automatic or semi automatic site submission tool. Usually submitter has to select from a fixed list of category values. The list of values varies from site to site even if those sites run on the same base software like for example phpLinkDirectory. Because sites normally allow its users to add categories and list of categories grows over time. Therefore choosing a proper category automatically pose some difficulties for a submitter.

Needless to say that submitting to a proper category is an important aspect of site submission not only from SEO point of view but also it is a factor that clearly influences acceptance of any submission.

KnowboForm has come up with a solution to this problem. Beginning from v1.6.2 beta it will enable you to create submission profile that defines patterns for such fields where a choice has to be made from a list of values during submission.

Scope of Submission

KnowboForm is the first general purpose site submission software that can semi automatically perform virtually any type of submission task without compromising the quality of submission. KnowboForm can actually enrich the quality of submission by allowing variations in information to be submitted.

In particular KnowboForm has built-in template profiles to semi automatically submit to Directories, Article Sites, Press Release Distribution Networks, Software Download Sites, Search Engines, etc.

It is very easy for KnowboForm users to create new templates for new type of submission tasks. For example users can create template profile for Classified submission, Personal information submission, etc.

Site List

KnowboForm is probably the only software in the market that has a huge database of 5,500+ submission sites with updated information of about 40+ site characteristics such as free, payment or reciprocal requirement, page rank, alexa rank, backlinks, etc.

Most importantly, KnowboForm database can never be backdated because most of the important information can be automatically updated. Users don't have to wait for an update of database to be released by the Developer because auto-update is a KnowboForm built-in feature.

Users can also add new sites and update site information manually. If required, users can even delete sites that do not possibly fulfill user's standard or requirement.

As of v1.2 beta KnowboForm database category wise site count is listed below. There are roughly 4110 Directories, 220 Article Sites, 60 Press Release Distribution Networks, 940 Software Download Sites, 150 Search Engines, and 100 of other sites comprising a total of 5550+ sites. The site list is not static. Sites are being updated, ammended, or even discarded on a regular basis to maintain the quality of inclusion.

Your Website Profile

KnowboForm offers a flexible interface to create your own website profile before submitting. Users can just copy a template profile for a specific purpose, provide the information required, and save. Your profile is ready to submit.

You can enter multiple number of the same information with some variations. For example, you may want to vary your website title or description so that your submissions look different to the search engine spiders. KnowboForm randomly pickup one item during submission. You can have multiple entries for any field of your site profile, not just title or description. In KnowboForm you enter separate multiple entries within the same field. You enter a tilde (~) charater alone in a new line between entries to separate multiple entries. See the example below:

Techie user can create new templates with new field specification. KnowboForm profile field's technical name can be written as regular expression patterns. These patterns are matched with web form input field names (html tag name) during semi automatic submission.

Knowboform Submitter (Alpha version) Feature List

As KnowboForm development is in progress, a bunch of useful features are already available that are good enough to manage any site submission projects. Listed below are those features in chronological order of implementation:

• Multi-tab browsing allows submitting to multiple sites at a time.
• Choose background color for fields that are automatically filled up.
• Create submission profile by selecting fields from a master field list. Reuse same field in multiple profiles.
• Specify default and profile specific field values.
• Quick switching between profiles before filling up.
• One click automatic filling-in.
• Choose values to be copied into an input field from pull down profile context menu. This feature is helpful when a field is not automatically filled-up or when a field is opted to be filled up manually.
• Database of carefully selected and reviewed thousands of directories of general and many niche categories, software download sites, and search engines. Every site has numerous attributes capturing many useful information required to effectively promote your sites and manage your submission projects.

• Ad hoc site sort and filter options. Appropriate filter would limit your selection to necessary subset of sites according to your choice. You can apply filter based on numerous (some twenty plus) site characteristics or parameters such as category, pricing, registration requirement, page rank, time of approval, quality, ease of submission, and so on.
• Record your submission with a single button click which automatically fill-in some key submission information.

• Switch profile and copy another profile's field value from the profile context menu.

13-Oct-06

• Save user's filter, sort, and other settings as the default. Restore back the options during next login.
• Quickly lookup domain name embedded in the address bar URL within the site list.
• Navigate to Submit URL directly if available.
• Reset filter options before searching a site within all available sites. Apply the filter back after when required.
• Auto look-up previously selected domain after re-sorting or when a new filter is applied.

14-Oct-06

• Manual fill-in: Specify which fields in a particular profile are not to be filled-up automatically.
• Switching between browser tabs would auto select the related site domain of the page in the selected tab.

• Profile context menu on "Fill" button. This would allow to copy the field value for manual filling.

• Quickly copy Submit URL and Search URL into the site record.
• Quickly capture site characteristics by just selecting a few radio buttons.

• Create submission profile by copying another profile or a template profile.
• Template profiles are available for directory submission, software PAD file submission, non-PAD software submission, and search engine submission.
• No deletion is possible for any standard record with [IsFactory] flag set.
